San Diego Part 2

Here are a few additional snap shots from our trio. We went to the San Diego Temple that was under construction but it was a still beautiful but a return visit is necessary. We also went to the San Diego Zoo and had a great time seeing the animals of all different shapes and sizes. I felt like I was in the Lion King. The animals all looked health and happy and were fun to see. There are some strange looking animals out there.

San Diego Part 1

Add ImageJeff and I decided that we needed a vacation. Jeff was inbetween semesters in school and I some how got it worked out to miss a few days of work and we decided to take a road trip. San Diego seemed like a good choice: warm, beach, new adventure, road trip, and good food. We left on Saturday after I rode in the Goldilocks 60 mile bike ride with my mom and sisters and Jeff was in a paintball tournament and drove to St. George. We bid our mother's a Happy Mothers Day and off we went. We enjoyed playing at the beach and the beautiful sunsets as well as kyaking in the ocean and Jeff attempted surfing and I enjoyed a good book on the beach. I will post pictures of the zoo soon as there were some very fun animals that I had never seen before. I felt like I was in the Lion King.
Back to the real world we come but we had a great time and enjoyed are time away.

Daffodils, Tulips, Poppies Oh My

As you might have noticed some of my favorite things about spring are the tulips and daffodils. There are such a bright and cheerful sight amongst the days of rain, sleet, hail, and now that we have been experiencing. A few weeks ago Jeff And I went to Temple Square on my request to enjoy the beautiful flowers. The weather was perfect and the flowers were beautiful.
This has become one of my favorite spring time activities

This is the Salt Lake Temple and me being a creative photographer!

Okay if you didn't see this when you went to Temple Square recently it is because this is not in Salt Lake but it should be. This was on a trip that I took 2 years ago to Seattle and we went to the tulip fields. This was an amazing sight and I have to say it is a must see for everyone and on my top 10 things I have seen in my life. Amazingly beautiful.

Same trip but these are the daffodil fields. I have seen a lot of fields in my life but these are gorgeous. On my return home I asked my dad if he could plant these fields and he said it wouldn't work in Utah. That is a tragedy.

Tulip Fields.

Okay these were at Temple Square. I love poppies as well they remind me of crepe paper. The picture does not do them justice they were so big and bright.

You have to love the orange.

Thanks Jeff for coming and enjoying the experience we had a great time and everyone should go and take a look. Time is running out.

Woodduck Lane

So if you have every been to our house in the spring time you will know that the road is called Woodduck Lane for a reason. About the first of March the flocks of geese and ducks move back in with a vengeance. At first you might think that they are cute and their honking is fun but at 3 am it is not anything but annoying. This has been our last few weeks. Spring is especially bad for the geese. The ducks on the other hand are not as bad but they have their flaws as well. They do not fly well so they often become road blocks to and from the complex and if you are going on a walk and come close to their nest they get very mad and start quacking.
Well today when I was coming home I saw one of our neighborhood ducks and her 10 duckings. they were so little and furry. Spring is definitely in the air despite the rain today.

PS No Geese were around at this one moment to have their picture taken but shortly after they landed on the roof with a bang

I Am Going to Blog

Okay friends and family I realize that it has been several months since my one and only posting to this blog but I have been doing some blog stocking and pondering and decided that I too could be apart of this world of blogging.
I often feel that my life is the same old thing but to some of you this might be entertaining and different then what is going on in your world. For instance, today I made 5 loaves of bread. It has been becoming one of my new hobbies. I would take a picture but I am still working on making the loaves look pretty. They taste very good and store amazingly well but I need help on making them look amazing. So maybe in the future they will be pictured and if anyone has suggestions please let me know.
Also in the world of Jeff and Carla we are excited for the happenings of spring. the last couple of years I have planted bulbs in our front little area. It is not Temple Square or anything but it is our little garden. Lately it has been smelling so beautiful and looking good and I get so excited to see the new flowers bloom but this morning this is what I saw and I was sad.... snow it is time for you to go away and stop hurting my flowers.
